This NZASB Update provides you with an overview of the New Zealand Accounting Standards Board’s recent activities, any new standards or interpretations, as well as other matters of interest.

The Board intends to discuss a range of topics affecting both PBEs and for-profit entities.


Agenda items for the public session include:

  • discussing proposals to develop a Public Benefit Entity (PBE) Standard based on IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts; and
  • approving the Exposure Draft (ED) and Invitation to Comment for PBE IPSAS 40 PBE Combinations.

Agenda items for the non-public session include a discussion on the NZASB Strategic action plan for the 2018-2023 period.

These documents seek your feedback on proposals that could potentially affect you.
