We develop and issue reporting standards on accounting, audit and assurance, and climate, for entities across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.

The XRB is an independent Crown entity under the Crown Entities Act, established under the Financial Reporting Act. The XRB is not a regulator; monitoring and enforcement functions are carried out by regulators such as the Financial Markets Authority and Charities Services.
